The Dockside Fishing Center offers VA boat rentals and safe boating courses around Virginia Beach for every vacationer who wants to experience traveling the coast of the United States on their own. VA boat rentals are available with guidelines for the boaters and a safe boating course with Virginia Beach tours.

The Dockside Fishing Center has certain Virginia Beach boat rental rules, and regulations set for every renter's safety. Prior to VA boat rentals, the visitors must fill out a form that contains the rental rates and rules for boating. The renter of the boat must be at least 21 years of age and present a valid driver's license. The individual must also have boating experience or must possess a certificate of completion for a safe boating course relevant to Virginia Beach.

The current rates of boat rentals will vary based on many factors, but rates are commonly under $75, with gas and oil, for a two hour rental period. There will be a security deposit of $500 which must be presented before the boat leaves shore. This deposit will be returned after the boat is redocked and inspected for damage. The boat rentals through Dockside Fishing Center are only allowed to tour spots within the Chesapeake Bay. There is a $40 per hour charge for boats that are returned past the allotted times.
